The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Kemper County Wildcats (DeKalb, MS) and the host Newton Tigers (Newton, MS), observed Kemper County's football squad bounce Newton by a count of 46-6.

The Wildcats now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Quitman for a non-league contest on Friday, September 15. Kemper County will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 14-13 non-league loss to Harrison Central (Gulfport, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 2-1.
