Texas High School Football - McAllen topples Mercedes

September 7, 2023: McAllen, TX 78501

The McAllen Bulldogs (McAllen, TX) football defeated the visiting Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX), 35-9 in Thursday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders (Pharr, TX) in a 5A-1 Region IV District 15 bout, on Thursday, September 14. McAllen will attempt to advance on its 3-0 season record. The Raiders enter the bout with a 3-0 record after their 35-0 non-league win over United South (Laredo, TX).

The Tigers (0-3) will now prepare for their bout against La Feria (La Feria, TX). The Lions enter the non-league bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, La Feria lost by Pace (Brownsville, TX), 28-26, in a non-league bout.
