The Steele Canyon Cougars (Spring Valley, CA) football edged the visiting El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA), 14-13 in Thursday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Cougars face the Lincoln Hornets (San Diego, CA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, September 13. Steele Canyon will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record.
The Vaqueros (1-3) will now prepare for their bout against Santana (Santee, CA). The Sultans enter the non-league bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, Santana was nudged by Bonita Vista (Chula Vista, CA), 21-19, in a non-league bout.
