Virginia High School Football - West Springfield can't get by South County

The South County Stallions held off the visiting West Springfield Spartans football team by a count of 10-8 in Thursday's league outing.

With the triumph, South County improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Stallions host Fairfax (Fairfax, VA) to battle the Lions in a test on Wednesday, September 13. The Lions come into the test with a record of 0-1. Fairfax lost 20-8 in their recent non-league test against Centreville (Clifton, VA)

With the loss, West Springfield drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Oakton (Vienna, VA) to battle the Cougars in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 13. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 1-0. Oakton won 41-6 in their recent non-league test against Woodson (Fairfax, VA)
