In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Grants Pirates volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Gallup Bengals.
The Pirates (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM). The Broncos come into the non-league battle with a 0-1 record.
Next, the Bengals encounter the Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, September 13. Gallup will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record.
