In Thursday's non-league game, the Cherokee Braves (Cherokee, NC) football team smashed the visiting Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC), by a score of 46-14.

The Braves (3-1) will now prepare for their game against Hayesville (Hayesville, NC). The Yellowjackets come into the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Hayesville was ripped by Swain County (Bryson City, NC), 26-8, in a non-league game.

The Wildcats now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Robbinsville for a non-league game on Thursday, September 14. Andrews will battle a Black Knights team coming off a 18-14 non-league win over Murphy (Murphy, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 3-1.
