North Carolina High School Football - West Stanly drops to North Stanly

In Thursday's non-league game, the North Stanly Comets (New London, NC) football team knocked off the visiting West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC), by a final score of 28-0.

The Comets (1-2) will now prepare for their game against East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Mustangs come into the non-league game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, East Rowan was dropped by Salisbury (Salisbury, NC), 48-14, in a non-league game.

The Colts now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mount Pleasant for a non-league game on Thursday, September 14. West Stanly will battle a Tigers team coming off a 15-6 non-league loss to Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 1-3.
