The South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA) football edged the host Statesboro Blue Devils (Statesboro, GA), 18-13 in Thursday's non-league bout.
In their next game, the Mustangs face the Long County Blue Tide (Ludowici, GA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, September 21. South Effingham will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record.
The Blue Devils (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Screven County (Sylvania, GA). The Gamecocks enter the non-league bout with a 0-0 record.
