The Phoenix (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Back of the Yards College Prep (Chicago, IL). The Bobcats come into the battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Back of the Yards College Prep was edged by Kenwood (Chicago, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Crusaders encounter the Solorio Sun Warriors (Chicago, IL) in a non-league test, on Thursday, September 14. Kennedy will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Sun Warriors enter the test with a 3-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Hancock (Chicago, IL).
