Glenbrook North Spartans (Northbrook, IL) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host Highland Park Giants (Highland Park, IL), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the Von Steuben Panthers (Chicago, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 8. Glenbrook North will attempt to better on its 7-0 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 1-1 league North Grand (Chicago, IL).

The Giants now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Maine West for a Central Suburban - North challenge on Tuesday, September 12. Highland Park will confront a Warriors team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Glenbrook South (Glenview, IL). The Warriors record now stands at 0-6.
