The Vienna Eagles routed the host Jefferson City Jays softball squad by a final score of 12-7 in Thursday's non-league battle.
The Eagles (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against St. Francis Borgia (Washington, MO). The Knights go into the non-league battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, St. Francis Borgia nudged Lutheran (St. Peters, MO), 12-7, in a non-league battle.
The Jays now possess a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Capital City for a Class 4 District 5 battle on Friday, September 8. Jefferson City will meet a Cavaliers squad coming off a 12-0 non-league loss to Blair Oaks (Jefferson City, MO). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-5.
