The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Downingtown West Whippets (Downingtown, PA) and the visiting Oxford Hornets (Oxford, PA), saw Downingtown West's volleyball squad beat Oxford by a tally of 3-0.

With the win, Downingtown West upgrades its record to 1-3 on the year. The Whippets travel to Conestoga (Berwyn, PA) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 9. The Pioneers go into the bout with a record of 2-1. Conestoga won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Harriton (Rosemont, PA)

The Hornets now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Avon Grove for a Ches-Mont bout on Saturday, September 16.
