In Thursday's league battle, the host Gehlen Catholic Jays volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the South O'Brien Wolverines.
The Jays (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA). The Westerners come into the War Eagle battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Akron-Westfield lost by George-Little Rock (George, IA), 3-2, in a non-league battle.
