The Hoover Huskies prevailed the host Independence Patriots volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Huskies now have a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Liberty for a non-league test on Thursday, September 7. Hoover will confront a Raiders team coming off a 2-0 league win over WestSide (Clear Fork, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 4-1.

The Patriots (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Liberty (Glen Daniel, WV). The Raiders enter the non-league test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Liberty gained a win over WestSide (Clear Fork, WV), 2-0, in a league test.
