The Maywood Academy Nighthawks volleyball team (Maywood, CA), was dropped 3-0 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the visiting Math & Science College Preparatory Sharks (Los Angeles, CA)

The Sharks (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Horace Mann UCLA Community (Los Angeles, CA). The Panthers enter the Crosstown challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Horace Mann UCLA Community was dropped by Foshay (Los Angeles, CA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Nighthawks meet the Torres Toros (Los Angeles, CA) in a Southern challenge, on Monday, September 11. Maywood Academy will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Toros enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Huntington Park (Huntington Park, CA).
