The Starmont Stars volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Postville Pirates to 1 in the Stars non-league victory on Thursday.

The Stars now have a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cedar Valley Christian for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 12. Starmont will confront a Huskies team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Oelwein (Oelwein, IA). The Huskies record now stands at 0-3.

The Pirates (0-2) will now prepare for their game against Kee (Lansing, IA). The Kee Hawks enter the Upper Iowa game with a 0-4 record. In their last game, Kee dropped by Clayton-Ridge (Guttenburg, IA), 2-0, in a league game.
