Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host East Carter Raiders (Grayson, KY), 36-14 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Boyd County advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Lions host Mason County (Maysville, KY) to play the Royals in a non-league battle on Friday, September 13. The Royals go into the battle with a record of 3-0. Mason County won 54-20 in their recent non-league battle against Fleming County (Flemingsburg, KY)

The Raiders now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Greenup County for a non-league battle on Friday, September 13. East Carter will play a Musketeers team coming off a 37-26 non-league win over Portsmouth (Portsmouth, OH). The Musketeers record now stands at 4-0.
