The Leonardtown Raiders edged the visiting North Point Eagles football team by a score of 21-20 in Saturday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Raiders face the Thomas Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD) in a Southern Maryland challenge, on Friday, September 13. Leonardtown will attempt to improve on its 1-0 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 49-0 league loss to Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD).
The Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Chopticon (Morganza, MD). The Braves enter the Southern Maryland challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Chopticon was edged by Lackey (Indian Head, MD), 42-6, in a league challenge.
