In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting Liberty Eagles football squad scored a good 22-14 triumph over the West Platte Bluejays.

The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Thayer (Thayer, MO). The Bobcats come into the South Central match with a 2-0 record. In their last match, Thayer defeated Lighthouse Christian (Springfield, MO), 48-7, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Bluejays confront the Penney Hornets (Hamilton, MO) in a KCI match, on Friday, September 13. West Platte will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Hornets come into the match with a 1-1 record after their 58-6 non-league win over Crest Ridge/Chilhowee (Centerview, MO).
