In Saturday's non-league game, the St. Joseph Falcons (Metuchen, NJ) football team edged the visiting Ridge Red Devil (Basking Ridge, NJ), by a tally of 37-34.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the Union Farmers (Union, NJ) in a Big Central - American Gold game, on Friday, September 13. St. Joseph will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Farmers enter the game with a 0-2 record after their 21-14 non-league loss to Hillsborough (Hillsborough, NJ).
