St. Anthony's Friars (Melville, NY) backers exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Niskayuna Silver Warriors (Niskayuna, NY), 6-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, St. Anthony's advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Friars host Cicero-North Syracuse (Cicero, NY) to clash with the Northstars in a non-league test on Saturday, September 7. The Northstars come into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Silver Warriors now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Colonie Central for a Suburban Council- Blue test on Tuesday, September 10. Niskayuna will clash with a Raiders team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Saratoga Springs (Saratoga Springs, NY). The Raiders record now stands at 0-1.
