First Quarter
Little Miami received the ball first to begin the game, but the Raptor defense forced a punt on the opening drive. Anderson couldn't do much either on their answering drive, which culminated in a fumble recovered by the Panthers. Soon after that, however, Little Miami fumbled on its drive and Elliott Upchurch recovered the ball for the Raptors in Panther territory. A long pass from sophomore Owen Scalf to Tegan Jallick put Anderson deep in Little Miami territory at the 5-yard line, but the Raptors turned the ball over on downs. The Panthers were forced to punt on the ensuing drive, and this time Anderson took advantage when Scalf found Jallick from 43 yards out for a Raptor touchdown to break the scoreless game. Scalf once again connected with Jallick on the two-point conversion to give Anderson an 8-0 lead. Little Miami ended the first quarter with possession but trailed 8-0.
Second Quarter
The Panthers punted to open the second quarter, but retained possession when an Owen Scalf pass was intercepted at midfield. Little Miami marched the ball downfield and with three minutes left until halftime, quarterback Cam Fox threw to sophomore receiver Luke Roberson for a 14-yard Panther touchdown. Roberson caught and converted the two-point try to tie the game at eight before halftime. On the next drive, the Raptors answered after a long Scalf pass was hauled in by Nick Rosiello and Cooper Kathman caught a 13-yard touchdown pass to restore Anderson's lead with one minute remaining. Scalf then connected with Kathman again to extend the Raptor lead by two at 16-8. Little Miami could not muster points on its final drive of the half, and the teams entered halftime with Anderson leading by a touchdown.
Third Quarter
The Panthers opened the second half with a promising drive, but a Joe Schnurstein interception gave possession back to the Raptors. Owen Scalf pulled off a long run to put Anderson in Little Miami territory, and with three minutes to go in the third quarter, Scalf and Jallick connected from 17 yards for their second touchdown. The passing two-point conversion failed, but the Raptors still held a 22-8 lead. The Panthers' next drive culminated in a punt, and Anderson answered by turning the ball over on downs. Little Miami entered the fourth quarter with possession but trailed 22-8.
Fourth Quarter
The Panthers worked quickly to begin the fourth, and Fox once again found Roberson from 20 yards away for their second touchdown connection of the day. Junior Alex Vargas rushed for the two-point conversion to cut the Raptor lead to six. Anderson's ensuing drive included a long pass from Owen Scalf to Maddux Snider that set the Raptors inside the red zone, but Scalf left the game shortly after due to concussion protocol. Tegan Jallick entered the game at quarterback for Anderson, and a 12-yard touchdown run by Jallick put the game away with just over two minutes left in the game. The two-point conversion was no good, but the Raptors held their 28-16 lead over the Panthers and kept their three-game winning streak alive to begin the season.
