Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the McCutcheon Mavericks (Lafayette, IN) and the visiting Western Panthers (Russiaville, IN), saw McCutcheon's soccer squad knock off Western by a count of 3-1.

The Mavericks (6-2) will now prepare for their battle against Kokomo (Kokomo, IN). The Wildkats enter the non-league battle with a 7-1 record. In their last battle, Kokomo tipped Richmond (Richmond, IN), 5-3, in a league battle.

Next up, the Panthers battle the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights (Lafayette, IN) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, September 10. Western will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 3-4 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Carroll (Flora, IN).
