Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Tuscarawas Valley Trojans (Zoarville, OH) and the host Minerva Lions (Minerva, OH), saw Tuscarawas Valley's soccer squad knock off Minerva by a count of 3-1.

The Trojans (3-0) will now prepare for their battle against Hiland (Berlin, OH). The Hawks enter the Inter Valley South battle with a 5-2 record. In their last battle, Hiland by Western Reserve Academy (Hudson, OH), 10-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Lions battle the Salem Quakers (Salem, OH) in a Northeastern Buckeye battle, on Tuesday, September 10. Minerva will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Quakers enter the battle with a 2-5 record after their 0-0 non-league South Range (Canfield, OH).
