Palisade Bulldogs (Palisade, CO) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Air Academy Kadets (US Air Force Academy, CO), 7-5 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Palisade improves its record to 7-2 on the year. The Bulldogs host Fruita Monument (Fruita, CO) to play the Wildcats in a 5A/4A Southwestern game on Monday, September 9. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 4-4. Fruita Monument lost 8-6 in their recent non-league game against D'Evelyn (Denver, CO)

The Kadets now hold a 3-8 record. They play next when they travel to Frederick for a non-league game on Saturday, September 7. Air Academy will play a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 16-1 non-league win over Rifle (Rifle, CO). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 7-4.
