The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Brantley County Herons (Nahunta, GA) and the visiting Greenbrier Wolfpack (Evans, GA), observed Brantley County's softball team notch a victory over Greenbrier by a final score of 12-4.

The Herons (9-5) will now prepare for their bout against Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald, GA). The Purple Hurricane go into the 1A D-I Region 1 bout with a 2-13 record. In their last bout, Fitzgerald was routed by Bacon County (Alma, GA), 12-0, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Wolfpack battle the Evans Knights (Evans, GA) in a bout, on Monday, September 9. Greenbrier will attempt to better on its 12-3 season record. The Knights go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 21-9 non-league loss to Brantley County (Nahunta, GA).
