The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Howell Central Spartans (St. Charles, MO) and the visiting Southern Boone Eagles (Ashland, MO), observed Howell Central's softball team get by Southern Boone by a tally of 9-3.

The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Holt (Wentzville, MO). The Indians go into the non-league bout with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Hickman Kewpies (Columbia, MO) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, September 10. Southern Boone will attempt to advance on its 6-4 season record.
