The Appling County Pirates volleyball squad (Baxley, GA), dropped 2-0 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Savannah Arts Academy Panthers (Savannah, GA)

With the win, Savannah Arts Academy improves its record to 14-8 on the season. The Panthers travel to Savannah Country Day (Savannah, GA) to encounter the Hornets in a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 10. The Hornets go into the battle with a record of 8-12. Savannah Country Day won 2-0 in their recent league battle against Woodville-Tompkins (Savannah, GA)

The Pirates now own a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tattnall County for a 2A Area 3 battle on Saturday, September 7. Appling County will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Pierce County (Blackshear, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-10.
