In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Treynor Cardinals volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Atlantic Trojans.

The Cardinals (8-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA). The Roughriders enter the challenge with a 7-4 record. In their last challenge, Roosevelt got by Atlantic (Atlantic, IA), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Trojans meet the Lewis Central Titans (Council Bluffs, IA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Atlantic will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Titans enter the challenge with a 7-3 record after their 2-0 league loss to Bettendorf (Bettendorf, IA).
