In Saturday's league challenge, the host Nevada Cubs volleyball team scored a 2-0 victory over the Belle Plaine Plainsmen.

The Cubs (11-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Saydel (Des Moines, IA). The Eagles enter the non-league challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, Saydel was beaten by Clarke (Osceola, IA), 2-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Plainsmen meet the West Delaware Hawks (Manchester, IA) in a challenge, on Saturday, September 7. Belle Plaine will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Hawks enter the challenge with a 7-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Jefferson (Cedar Rapids, IA).
