In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Bend Lava Bears volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Roseburg Indians.

The Lava Bears (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against North Eugene (Eugene, OR). The Highlanders come into the non-league challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, North Eugene West Salem (Salem, OR), 1-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Indians meet the Grants Pass Cavemen (Grants Pass, OR) in a 6A Southwest challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Roseburg will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Cavemen come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Ashland (Ashland, OR).
