John Battle Trojans (Bristol, VA) boosters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host DeKalb County Tigers (Smithville, TN), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, John Battle improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Trojans travel to Elizabethton (Elizabethton, TN) to face the Fighting Cyclones in a non-league test on Saturday, September 7. The Fighting Cyclones go into the test with a record of 6-3. Elizabethton won 3-0 in their recent league test against Unicoi County (Erwin, TN)

The Tigers now own a 0-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Livingston Academy for a AA District 7 test on Tuesday, September 10. DeKalb County will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to White County (Sparta, TN). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-14.
