Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Montgomery County Indians (Mt. Sterling, KY) and the host DeKalb County Tigers (Smithville, TN), observed Montgomery County's volleyball team top DeKalb County by a count of 2-0.

The Indians (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Harrison County (Cynthiana, KY). The Thorobreds enter the non-league contest with a 5-6 record. In their last contest, Harrison County was knocked off by West Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Tigers battle the Livingston Academy Wildcats (Livingston, TN) in a AA District 7 contest, on Tuesday, September 10. DeKalb County will attempt to move on its 0-12 season record. The Wildcats enter the contest with a 3-14 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to White County (Sparta, TN).
