In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Shepherd Hill Regional Rams volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Fitchburg Red Raiders.

The Rams (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against North Middlesex Regional (Townsend, MA). The Patriots enter the Midland-Wachusett B challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, North Middlesex Regional was beaten by Leominster (Leominster, MA), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Red Raiders meet the Leominster Blue Devils (Leominster, MA) in a Midland-Wachusett C challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Fitchburg will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 3-2 non-league win over North Middlesex Regional (Townsend, MA).
