In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Fort Madison Bloodhounds volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Springville Orioles.

The Bloodhounds (1-10) will now prepare for their challenge against New London (New London, IA). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, New London was nudged by West Burlington (West Burlington, IA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Orioles meet the Midland Eagles (Wyoming, IA) in a challenge, on Saturday, September 7. Springville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Starmont (Arlington, IA).
