In Saturday's league challenge, the visiting Grundy Center Spartans volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the North Tama Red Hawks.

The Spartans (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Union (La Porte City, IA). The Knights come into the challenge with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Union was nudged by Denver (Denver, IA), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Red Hawks play the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels (Reinbeck, IA) in a challenge, on Saturday, September 7. North Tama will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 3-2 league loss to AGWSR (Ackley, IA).
