In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Iowa Valley Tigers.

The Vikings (4-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Grinnell (Grinnell, IA). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Grinnell was beaten by Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Keota Eagles (Keota, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 16. Iowa Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Highland (Riverside, IA).
