The Purvis Tornadoes volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the visiting South Jones Braves to 0 in the Tornadoes non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tornadoes now possess a 15-7 record. They play next when they host Forrest County Agricultural for a Class 4A Region 7 outing on Tuesday, September 10.

With the loss, South Jones drops to 10-6 on the campaign. The Braves travel to Stringer (Stringer, MS) to play the Red Devils in a non-league outing on Monday, September 9. The Red Devils come into the outing with a record of 14-4. Stringer won 3-0 in their recent league outing against Leake County (Walnut Grove, MS)
