In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Sumner-Fredericksburg Cougars volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the South Winneshiek Warriors.

The Cougars (8-2) will now prepare for their challenge against New Hampton (New Hampton, IA). The Chickasaws come into the challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, New Hampton beat North Fayette Valley (West Union, IA), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Warriors meet the Don Bosco Dons (Gilbertville, IA) in a challenge, on Saturday, September 7. South Winneshiek will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Dons come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Clarksville (Clarksville, IA).
