The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Parkview Baptist Eagles (Baton Rouge, LA) and the host East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA), saw Parkview Baptist's volleyball squad nip East Ascension by a tally of 3-2.
With the win, Parkview Baptist upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Eagles host Mandeville (Mandeville, LA) to play the Skippers in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 11. The Skippers go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
The Spartans now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Lutcher for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 15.
