Connecticut High School Football - Ansonia trounces Derby

September 8, 2022: Ansonia, CT 06401

In Thursday's non-league match, the host Ansonia Chargers football squad scored a big 60-0 victory over the Derby Red Raiders.

In their next game, the Chargers clash with the Woodland Regional Hawks (Beacon Falls, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley - Copper match, on Friday, September 16. Ansonia will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Hawks enter the match with a 1-0 record after their 38-6 non-league win over Oxford (Oxford, CT).

The Red Raiders (0-1) will now prepare for their match against Waterbury Career Academy (Waterbury, CT). The Spartans enter the Naugatuck Valley - Brass match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Waterbury Career Academy routed Wolcott (Wolcott, CT), 46-14, in a non-league match.
