The Homewood Patriots football squad scored 48 points and restricted the visiting Calera Eagles to 38 in the Patriots league victory on Thursday.

The Patriots now possess a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Benjamin Russell for a 6A Region 3 battle on Friday, September 16. Homewood will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 23-6 league win over Calera (Calera, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-0.

Coming up next, the Eagles face the Chilton County Tigers (Clanton, AL) in a 6A Region 3 battle, on Friday, September 16. Calera will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 2-2 record after their 35-28 league loss to Helena (Helena, AL).
