The Merrill Vandals football squad scored 44 points and restricted the host Fulton Pirates to 12 in the Vandals league victory on Thursday.

The Vandals now possess a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Montabella for a Central Michigan (8 Man) battle on Saturday, September 17. Merrill will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 50-12 league loss to Breckenridge (Breckenridge, MI). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-1.

Coming up next, the Pirates play the Vestaburg Wolverines (Vestaburg, MI) in a Central Michigan (8 Man) battle, on Friday, September 16. Fulton will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Wolverines enter the battle with a 0-3 record after their 60-8 league loss to Sacred Heart Academy (Mt. Pleasant, MI).
