The Liberty Magnet Patriots (Baton Rouge, LA) football edged the host Pearl River Rebels (Pearl River, LA), 31-29 in Thursday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Patriots face the Denham Springs Yellowjackets (Denham Springs, LA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 16. Liberty Magnet will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the bout with a 3-0 record after their 42-6 non-league win over Glen Oaks (Baton Rouge, LA).

The Rebels (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Pine (Franklinton, LA). The Raiders enter the non-league bout with a 2-0 record. In their last bout, Pine nudged Independence (Independence, LA), 34-0, in a non-league bout.
