In Thursday's non-league battle, the visiting South-Doyle Cherokees soccer squad scored a close 2-0 triumph over the William Blount Governors.
The Cherokees (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Cocke County (Newport, TN). The Fighting Cocks come into the non-league battle with a 6-2 record. In their last battle, Cocke County nudged Unicoi County (Erwin, TN), 5-1, in a non-league battle.
The Governors (1-7) will now prepare for their battle against Bearden (Knoxville, TN). The Bulldogs come into the AAA District 4 battle with a 7-0 record. In their last battle, Bearden nudged Farragut (Knoxville, TN), 7-0, in a league battle.
