The Smoky Mountain Mustangs soccer team scored 1 points and limited the host Highlands Highlanders to 0 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Thursday.

Next, the Mustangs face the Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC) in a Mountain Seven 3A contest, on Monday, September 12. Smoky Mountain will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Bears enter the contest with a 5-0 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Madison (Marshall, NC).
