Virginia High School Soccer - New Covenant knocks off Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy

New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team overwhelm the visiting Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys (Moneta, VA), 12-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Gryphons face the Blue Ridge Barons (St. George, VA) in a Blue Ridge Athletic challenge, on Tuesday, September 13. New Covenant will attempt to better on its 5-0 season record. The Barons enter the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 4-2 league loss to Trinity Episcopal (Richmond, VA).
The Ospreys now have a 0-3 record. They take the field next when they host Westover Christian Academy for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 15.
