The Frontenac Raiders held off the host Independence Bulldogs volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Raiders now have a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Baxter Springs for a non-league test on Saturday, September 10. Frontenac will confront a Lions team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Fort Scott (Fort Scott, KS). The Lions record now stands at 4-4.

The Bulldogs (2-1) will now prepare for their test against Fredonia (Fredonia, KS). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league test with a 5-0 record. In their last test, Fredonia held off Caney Valley (Caney, KS), 2-0, in a non-league test.
