The St. Cecilia Bluehawks (Hastings, NE) volleyball overcame the host Gibbon Buffaloes (Gibbon, NE), 3-0 in Thursday's league outing.

With the win, St. Cecilia upgrades its record to 2-3 on the year. The Bluehawks travel to Blue Hill (Blue Hill, NE) to face the Bobcats in a D1 District 8 outing on Tuesday, September 13. The Bobcats go into the outing with a record of 1-10. Blue Hill lost 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Kearney Catholic (Kearney, NE)

The Buffaloes now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to Ord for a non-league outing on Monday, September 12. Gibbon will face a Chanticleers squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Centura (Cairo, NE). The Chanticleers record now stands at 1-7.
