The Gunnison Valley Bulldogs volleyball team (Gunnison, UT), was dropped 3-1 in Thursday's non-league challenge with the host Piute Thunderbirds (Junction, UT)

The Thunderbirds (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Wayne (Bicknell, UT). The Badgers enter the 1A Region 20 challenge with a 4-3 record.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Duchesne Eagles (Duchesne, UT) in a 2A Region 16 challenge, on Tuesday, September 13. Gunnison Valley will attempt to move on its 1-7 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Providence Hall (Herriman, UT).
